Carmen Briceño was consecrated to the Order of Virgins in 2009. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art and Visual Technology and a master’s degree in Education from George Mason University, as well as a master’s degree in Theology from the Notre Dame Graduate School of Christendom College.
Since 2006, she has dedicated herself to Catholic evangelization and formation, offering talks, workshops, and retreats in both English and Spanish for teenagers, young adults, catechists, parents, and parish and school leaders throughout the Diocese of Arlington, across the United States, and internationally.
She is the creator of Santos en Entrenamiento (Saints in Training), a formation and evangelization program that seeks to help people of all ages respond to the universal call to holiness and live their faith in a concrete way in everyday life. The initiative includes monthly workshops at various parishes throughout the Diocese of Arlington, focused on the saints, virtues, and the life of faith; six-week formation courses on a variety of topics related to the Catholic faith; pilgrimages and retreats; and conferences for men and women.
Santos en Entrenamiento also includes a nationally broadcast weekly radio program on Radio María, which explores the lives of the saints, spirituality, and various aspects of the Catholic faith.
Carmen is also the founder of Sacred Print, an initiative dedicated to evangelization through art and beauty.
